Dr. Antonios D. Kargas (akargas@uniwa.gr) works as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Business Administration of the University of West Attica. He holds a degree in Economics from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, as well as a master's and doctorate from the Department of Informatics and Telecommunications of the same University. Since 2014, he has been teaching courses related to economics and administration at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (Department of Informatics and Telecommunications - Department of Digital Industry Technologies), the Hellenic Open University, the University of the Peloponnese and the University of West Attica. In particular, regarding the Hellenic Open University, since the academic period 2017-2018 he has been participating in the Postgraduate Program entitled "Management of Cultural Units", while he has been certified by the same University for the provision of Open and Distance Education. His work experience as a Researcher/Consultant exceeds 15 years, while he has participated in the establishment and development of two startups. He has participated as an economist in more than 20 research projects, of which at least 5 were international. He has also served as an Economic Expert for the European Commission and principal investigator responsible for conducting Cost-Benefit Analysis for significant EU investments in various Western Balkan countries. His research interests include management issues related to international entrepreneurship, business administration, technology implementation and digital transformation, as well as cost-benefit analysis, techno-economic analysis and applied economics. He has more than 45 publications in reputable scientific journals and conferences in his field and more than 590 references, while he participates as a reviewer and co-editor in several international publications.
