Dr. Eleni Haniotaki works at the Ministry of Digital Governance, in the Department of Open Government and Transparency. She holds a BA in Economics from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (2002), a MA in Decision Sciences (2003) and a PhD in Information Systems (2020), the latter two from the Athens University of Economics and Business. She is also a graduate of the National School of Public Administration (2007). Her PhD, entitled “Interaction between the Organizational Framework and ICT Interventions: Evidence from a Public Organization in Greece”, focuses on the environmental factors that influenced the implementation of an electronic document management system in a public organization. From a public administration perspective, this implementation is recognized as the first step towards the digital transformation of the organization. Her academic research has been presented at European and international IT conferences. She also participated in the research project “Open Government Intelligence” (Horizon 2020). During her career in public administration, she has participated in various working groups related to innovative practices in the public sector, preparation of legislation for the e-Government Law, etc. In addition, Dr. Haniotaki has professional experience from a multinational company in the oil and gas sector.
